are among the other tools we use to teach concentration. Students learn to take them apart and put them back together over and over again, focusing on the shape and size of the innies and outties. This causes the child to pay attention to details and gain eye-hand coordination, which carry over into all other areas.
Jigsaw Puzzles in Our Life
Most everyone agrees that jigsaw puzzles are a great learning tool for kids, and adults can readily enjoy them as well. At one time, every time I talked to a certain friend, she was working a puzzle! Not being able to understand her fascination, I went and got one for my husband and me to work on.I spread it out on the dining room table, and for three days, after work, we didn't do anything else but work that puzzle! My husband, a dedicated news watcher, didn't even turn on the TV.I didn't want to cook dinner so we ate cereal. Even before work, we drank our coffee while working that puzzle. Some time after that, my husband's construction work slowed down so much that he started looking for something else to do.After seeing a scroll saw demo at a home and garden show, he had the feeling that he could master it, and so became a crafter, making beautiful animal jigsaw puzzles which he persuaded me to draw for him. Before long, we had more than 100 puzzle patterns.
